4 Projects That Will Make Your Bathroom Look Like It Was Remodeled

Posted By Better Living in Organized Bathroom | No Comments

Transforming your bathroom to an updated, inspired retreat can cost a bundle. In 2016, the average bathroom remodeling project came in at more than $11,000, according to the National Kitchen and Bath Association.

If that level of investment is not in the cards at your house right now, we get it. Just know there are simple ways to achieve the dramatic change you desire, without breaking the bank.

Color shift: The trouble with tile is that its on-trend hues often fail to outlast its durability. Time travel to the present with a simple coat of new paint for your bathroom squares at a fraction of the cost of full replacement. Do your homework to find out if this is a good DIY job for you, or if you’re better off talking to a professional.

New hardware: There’s no need to fuss with new bathroom fixtures. A new faucet will make your sink look new, plus the gleam and drama of polished chrome always catches the eye. A new shower head, a metallic shower sprayer, new towel racks, hooks and even a new toilet handle will do wonders for your bathroom.

Lighting: Changing the fixture to something unexpected, like a chandelier, will transform the feel of your bathroom. Even if you choose to keep your old light, a really easy way to alter the look and feel of your bathroom is installing a dimmer switch. When you’re done, you can lower the lights for a relaxing soak in the tub, or raise them to full brightness while getting ready.

Cabinet: You may be tired of your bathroom vanity stand, but that doesn’t mean it’s not any good. Actually, it’s pretty amazing to see how a simple coat of paint and some on-trend hardware can make it look like a different piece of furniture. Top off the project by swapping your old mirror for something ornate or framed in reclaimed wood.

A little inspiration and a weekend or two of work is all it takes to pull off a bathroom project that looks like a full remodel.
