The Easy Way to Make Your Own Foaming Hand Soap

Posted By Better Living in Organized Bath | No Comments

There’s a lot to love in that bottle of foaming soap. You love the texture. You love how it makes you feel like you’re pampering yourself. Most of all, you love how it keeps your sink and countertop clean because your family’s not leaving behind those yucky blobs of liquid soap goo!

Now there’s a way to enjoy foaming soap without paying the high markup at the store. Not only can you customize your concoction with the scent that pleases you most, you’ll be amazed by how little it costs compared to store prices.

Even better, you can keep it ready in an attractive, sleek foaming dispenser from Better Living. Simply fill the dispenser container 60 percent of the way with water, then add your liquid soap to the 80 percent line. The remaining air that you pump in will release that thick, rich foam right onto your fingertips to leave your hands clean, soft and smelling great!

How to make your own liquid soap with customized scent

Pour 1.7 fl oz/50ml of your plain, unscented liquid Castile soap into a bowl.

Grab your favorite essential oils: Eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender and tea tree oil are all touted for their natural antibacterial properties. Use one or experiment with a blend to create your own custom scent.

Add 10 drops of essential oils to the Castile soap and mix in.

Remove the foaming dispenser pump top. Fill dispenser container with 60% water (4.05 fl oz/120ml). Pour your custom scented liquid soap into the dispenser container, filling to the second line. Shake and you’re ready to pump!
